Important:
We changed the Gigaset software to support the long provisioning URL used by the Metaswitch platform. This change is made in N510 software 239 or higher and N720 software 100 or higher. This means that the devices needs to be updated first via the device web-interface to this software version. Gigaset will change the production software to this newer version, expected end 2016.
The N720 firmware update via auto-provisioning (EPP) is not available. The firmware update in a multi-cell solution needs to be monitored by a technician in case of failure. Unsupervised upgrades can cause unacceptable outage in fail cases. Technician monitoring the upgrade can easily take actions in these situations to get the system up and running, therefore on-site firmware updates are preferred by Gigaset. We also advise only to upgrade the N720 system when advised by Gigaset, the software below is tested with the Metaswitch platform and upgrades just to upgrade is not recommended.
For the N510 we support the Firmware update via EPP.
