FAQ Desktop - mwi_notification

Description

Specify the type of MWI notification that will inform you when a new message arrives. A short beep <beep> is reminding you once on having mailbox messages waiting in which <reminder> is doing that repeatedly (3 beeps every 10 minutes). With <silent> this functionality can be switched off.
Note: as of versions 8.7.5.9/8.7.6.1, this setting has been replaced by "status_msgs_with_audio_indication". In order to have the reminder beep, the following must occur:

• setting "status_msgs_with_audio_indication" must include string "PhoneHasVoiceMessages" (example: PhoneHasVoiceMessages:4/3 beeps 5 times every 4 seconds, see more details under status_msgs_with_audio_indication)
• setting "status_msgs_that_are_blocked" must NOT include string "PhoneHasVoiceMessages"
