Description
The Q-value is a feature under the control of the SIP server. For more information, please refer to your SIP Server documentation.
The Q-value sets up the preference of a registration for each line (the default is 1.0). This means that different registrations with different Q-values will ring in serial order (serial forking) in contrast to different registrations with the same Q-values, which will ring in parallel (parallel forking).
The effect of this setting is to add the configured 'q' value as attribute along the Contact header in the SIP messages the phone sends when registering the SIP identities.
This setting is correctly configured for the vast majority of any SIP usages. Do not change this setting unless directed by your SIP service provider.
